The eFOLDi Navigator is an ultra light folding power wheelchair on a magnesium alloy frame. eFOLDi publish 27 lb without the battery and 31 lb with it, a top speed of 6 km/h and a range of up to 13 km.
It folds and unfolds in seconds with no assembly. Folded it measures 13 by 23 by 35 inches, and open it is 43 by 23 by 35 inches, so the frame is 23 inches across. The automotive grade lithium ion battery lifts out for on board or off board charging, and eFOLDi describe the chair as airline friendly.
Braking is electro magnetic and engages the moment the joystick is released. The joystick moves to either side and an attendant control is fitted as standard. The footrest has three height settings, the tyres are solid, anti tip wheels are fitted and the seat cushion is removable and breathable. eFOLDi rate the Navigator for pavement and indoor use on gradients up to 1 in 10, give a maximum user weight of 265 lb on the Navigator specification sheet, and warrant the chair for 2 years.
