The AirFlyer by The Mobilist is a carbon-fibre folding power chair that starts at 28.5 lb before the battery goes in. It folds by hand to 10.25 inches wide and carries 300 lb.
It runs 12 inch rear wheels, unusual on a chair this light and the thing you feel the first time you cross a broken footpath, and it comes in two seat depths, 15 or 17.5 inches, both 17.5 inches across. One caution before you book a flight. The Mobilist describe the battery as airline approved, but the watt hour figure that claim rests on does not agree with the weight they publish for the same battery. Ask your airline directly.
